Nutritional assessment according to NCPT (Nutrition Care Process and Terminology) in adult and pediatric subjects suffering from nutrition-related pathologies.

Learning Objectives
At the end of the third year internship, the student must be able to:
- know how to apply the most recent evidence-based guidelines and recommendations for the nutritional treatment of nutrition-related diseases in adults and pediatric subjects.
- carry out bibliographic research on topics of nutritional interest.
- manage the nutritional assessment according to NCPT (nutritional assessment, nutritional diagnosis, nutritional intervention, nutritional monitoring and re-evaluation) in all nutrition-related pathologies of adults and children, demonstrating communication and collaboration skills in the care teams.
- Establish a professional relationship with the patient/family to help achieve the objectives of the dietary-nutritional therapy
- Participate in meetings to create an educational/training path in the field of health promotion, prevention and therapeutic education.

Course program
Nutritional assessment according to NCPT (Nutrition Care Process and Terminology) in adult and pediatric subjects suffering from nutrition-related pathologies.
Discussion of clinical cases of adult and pediatric subjects suffering from nutrition-related pathologies with the development of nutritional plans (nutritional assessment, nutritional diagnosis, nutritional intervention, nutritional monitoring and re-evaluation).
Therapeutic education for lifestyle modification aimed at patients with obesity, diabetes and in cardiac rehabilitation.
The use of nutritional software.
Practical internship in a hospital setting (surgery, oncology, psychiatry, internal medicine, nephrology, neurology, obesity, cardiology, diabetology, gynecology and obstetrics, paediatrics), for a total of 575 hours.
Laboratory activity, in the classroom, for a total of 75 hours.
