Prof. Siedina will provide the lecture notes (slides), the texts of the exercises and the reading texts. Prof. Rossi will provide the texts for the translations. Learning Objectives
The aim of prof. Siedina’s, Rossi’s and Dr. Dvizova’s part of the course is for students to be able to translate and produce simple and complex syntactic constructions in Russian and to be able to move freely between the different functional styles of the Russian language.
The goal of Dr. Gasanova's part is that students acquire the technical strategies of active translation from Italian into Russian, as well as the ability to analyze the source text and draft the target text.
The overall objective of the course is that students reach B2 / C1 level at the end of the course.

Prerequisites
Assimilation of the topics of previous Russian language courses.
For the lectorship: the knowledge acquired in the three-year degree course must correspond to the skills formulated in the requirements of level B1. At the beginning of the course there will be a lexico-grammatical test, an oral test (audio and conversation) and a written test (a short written essay) to identify any gaps.

Teaching Methods
Frontal lesson by the professor (G. Siedina; V. Rossi).
Lectorship by Dr. I. Dvizova: to favor the oral comprehension of medium-length texts as well as the ability to interact orally in the discussion on historical and socio-cultural topics, classroom exercises will be carried out with the subsequent processing of the material acquired in written (summaries, compositions, comments on texts, etc.).
All supplementary material, developed by the teacher, will be made available to students through the Moodle platform. Particular attention will be paid to the modern language of communication: mass media, blogs, student forums.
Lectorship by M. Gasanova: Lessons / frontal exercises; use of online resources for the translation process; autonomous drafting of the target text by the students; mutual correction.
Lectorship by Dr. I. Further information
The course includes a part by prof. Giovanna Siedina (40 hours a year), a part by prof. Valentina Rossi on translation (20 hours) and practical exercises (lectorsip), closely related to the topics covered, by the mother tongue instructors, Dr. Irina Dvizova (about 75 hours) and Dr. Marina Gasanova (20 hours).

Type of Assessment
The exam parts of the lectorship must be passed before taking the final exam with prof. Siedina. For the lectorship (Dvizova) the learning assessment procedures will consist of ongoing tests in the form of lexical-grammatical tests. The final exam will consist of a summary (izlożenie) with the comment elements (personal point of view) of one of the texts not analyzed in class, but whose grammatical and lexical contents are close to the topics covered (the length of the assigned text: 450-500 words; the length of the summary: no less than 250 words; duration 2 hours).
For native speakers of Russian, verification in the form of an essay or an annotated summary on the topics covered will be proposed: the latter for students belonging to non-humanistic degree courses.
For the lectorship part of Dr. Gasanova, the test will consist of an active translation from Italian into Russian (text of 250-300 words; duration 2 hours).
For the part of the professor Rossi for students native speakers of Italian the test will consist of a translation from Russian into Italian; for students native speakers of Russian the test will consist of a summary in Russian of a text assigned by the professor.
The part of Professor Siedina consists of a written exam and an oral exam at the end of the course on the topics covered during the course and indicated in the file "Programma e modalità di esame Lingua russa 1 LM37 da 12 CFU 2021-2022 Siedina" published on the course web page on the Moodle platform.

The predicate in the simple proposition: the simple and complex verbal predicate: variants of the nominal part of the predicate; short forms of the passive participle.
Lexicon: lexicon and lexical expressions, including phrases to express emotions and subjective evaluations concerning the following topics: "Big cities", "Society", "Free time", "Mass media", "Study and work", "Professional career", "The environment", etc. The learning of the vocabulary will be proposed through the reading texts included in the manual and chosen by the main Russian newspapers and video and audio fragments of both didactic nature (series of learning films "Russian cities") and internet resources.
