Basic notions and methods of statistics useful to understand and interpret biological phenomena; interpretation of clinical and laboratory findings; evaluation of benefit, risk and cost of clinical strategies; evaluation of efficacy and effectiveness of therapy (with special reference to drug evaluation); evaluation of intervention strategies in Preventive Medicine and Public Health.
