Programma esteso La Teoria cellulare. L’organizzazione gerarchica in biologia. Le
caratteristiche degli esseri viventi. Il flusso di energia negli ecosistemi. I
domini e i regni dei viventi. Le basi chimiche della vita: gli atomi, i legami
chimici. L’acqua. Le molecole organiche: scheletro carbonioso e gruppi
funzionali. Le macromolecole biologiche: carboidrati, lipidi, proteine e
acidi nucleici. Eubatteri: classificazione in base alla morfologia, alla
temperatura di crescita, al metabolismo e all’ossigeno. Gli Eubatteri e
l’uomo. La membrana plasmatica e la parete cellulare dei batteri. La
colorazione di Gram. L’organizzazione della cellula procariotica. Gli
Archeobatteri. L’organizzazione della cellula eucariotica: citoplasma,
nucleo, nucleolo, ribosomi, reticolo endoplasmatico (RER e REL),
complesso di Golgi, lisosomi, mitocondri, perossisomi, citoscheletro. La
cellula eucariotica vegetale: parete cellulare, vacuoli, cloroplasti. Le
giunzioni cellulari, la matrice extracellulare. La teoria endosimbiontica. Le
membrane biologiche: struttura e funzioni. Modello a mosaico fluido. I
fosfolipidi e le proteine di membrana. Gli enzimi coinvolti nella sinIl
trasporto di membrana: passivo (diffusione semplice e facilitata), attivo
(primario e secondario), endocitosi ed esocitosi. La struttura del DNA. La
replicazione del DNA. Gli enzimi coinvolti nella sintesi del DNA.
L’organizzazione del DNA: cromatina e cromosomi. La struttura dell’RNA.
La trascrizione (sintesi dell’RNA) nei procarioti e negli eucarioti. La
maturazione dei pre-mRNA eucariotici. Definizione di gene. Il codice

basic biological science useful for understanding the complexity of

bonds. The water. Organic molecules: carbonaceous skeleton and
functional groups. Biological macromolecules: carbohydrates, lipids,
proteins and nucleic acids. Eubacteria: classification based on
morphology, growth temperature, metabolism and oxygen. The
Eubacteria and man. The plasma membrane and the cell wall of bacteria.
Gram's coloring. The organization of the prokaryotic cell.
Archaeobacteria. The organization of the eukaryotic cell: cytoplasm,
nucleus, nucleolus, ribosomes, endoplasmic reticulum (RER and REL),
Golgi complex, lysosomes, mitochondria, peroxisomes, cytoskeleton. The
plant eukaryotic cell: cell wall, vacuoles, chloroplasts. The cell junctions,
the extracellular matrix. The endosymbiotic theory. Biological
