Learning Objectives
At the end of the course students will be able to describe, with complete and correct terms, the structural organization of the healthy human body along with the contribution of the structure to the specific function. The student will demonstrate the complete knowledge of the human body, being able to describe the macro and microscopic structure of each apparatus, system and organ.

Basis of Physiology
General Anatomy: organization, structure and terminology of the organs, systems and apparatus.
Skeletal-muscle apparatus.
General information about bones, muscles and joints.
Head: muscles, bones and joints.
Spinal coloumn: general information about vertebra, joints among vertebra, muscles.
Torax: bones, muscles and joints.
Superior limb: bones, muscles and joints.
Inferior limb: bones, muscles and joints.
Circulatory Apparatus. Heart: external and internal aspect, topography, structure,
nerves and vessels, pericardium.
Arteries: general information and structure. Arteries of the pulmonary circle and of the large circle.
Aorta and main vessels.
Capillaries.
Veins: general structure and information. Veins of the pulmonary and general circle. Portal system.
Lymphatic vessels of the head, neck, superior and inferior limb, torax, abdomen and pelvis.
Lymphonodes, tymus and spleen.
Respiratory apparatus: nose, nasal and paranasal cavities, larynx, trachea, bronchial tubes, lungs, pleura.
Digestive apparatus. Mouth, major salivary glands, farynx, esofagus, stomach, intestine, liver and gall-bladder, peritoneum.
Urinary apparatus: kidney and urinary tract.
Male genital apparatus: testis, sperm tract, related glands, external genitals.
Femal genital apparatus: ovary, genital tract, external genitals.
Endocrine apparatus: hypothalamus, pituitary gland, epiphysis, thyroid, parathyroid, pancreas, surrenal gland.
