Learning Objectives
The student at the end of the course must possess the knowledge necessary to implement measures for prevention and must possess the knowledge required to adopt procedures and methods to transfer the culture of prevention to the person/ community, and induce them to adapt it according to the logic behavior of preventive health protection of individual, collective and environmental protection.

The way, in which the subjects will be treated, is based on interactive and frontal lessons followed by a blended teaching method through a Platform called MOODLE run by the University of Florence.

The exam will be based on a written and oral test. The students who can attend the course will be tested during the course.

Description of the architecture of the digital computer. Description of the computer's hardware components,
Execution of instructions and calculation: the CPU, main memory.
Introduction to computer peripherals,
Data storage, description of the operation of magnetic disks,
Description of external memories: optical discs and USB,
Input devices: keyboards and mouse, output devices: monitors and printers,
Process management, and access to hardware, file system, Windows systems and characteristics of other operating systems.
